 Triad Environmental Solutions, Inc. (TES) was contracted by SAIC to provide Triad characterization support for the investigation of the Fuel Hydrant System at US Air Force McGuire AFB, NJ. The Hydrant System provides fuel to aircraft parked on the apron at the base. No previous data were available on the system, the investigation was designed to determine if leaks had occurred in the fuel delivery system. The project was conducted over 20 field days using direct push soil and groundwater sampling and DSITMS performing EPA Method 8265. Using the Triad approach, the project identified a number of small petroleum sources associated with the Hydrant System.
