Tri-Corders Environmental, Inc. (TEI) was contacted by Seattle Dist. Corps of Engineers to assist with the investigation of chlorinated solvents in soil and groundwater at a BRAC site in west central VA; the Vent Hill Farm Station a former U.S. Army base. This was limited investigation of a potential chlorinated solvent source area. Previous data indicate a potential source of chlorinated solvent in a very small spatial area. TEI was part of a team with Shaw Environmental, Seattle Dist. and Baltimore Dist COE who planned and executing this project. The project was also used by US EPA Technology Innovation Office as a model case study of the Triad approach to site characterization. TEI provided the DSITMS used to analyze sorbent traps. from MIP sampling in the shallow subsurface. The DSITMS was used to analyze discrete soil and groundwater samples. TEI assisted with the planning and drafting of the dynamic work plan for this effort
