Triad Environmental Solutions, Inc. (TES) was contracted by AECOM, Inc. to provide Triad characterization support for the investigation of potential soil vapor intrusion into a large building (>20 acre) housing an active manufacturing facility in New York state. During 3.5 days of field activities, 109 discrete sub-slab soil vapor sampling points were located, installed, sampled and analyzed on-site in real-time. Using the DSITMS with the Triad approach, numerous sources for potential soil vapor intrusion were identified, mapped and the aerial extent of the sub-slab soil vapor sources were determined.
